Boston, Day 3 - October, 2016
Our third (& somewhat final) day in Boston was "museum day" (see Day One & Day Two) - there is so much to do & see in this city it's hard to pick & choose. One of the best things about art museums? Their gift shops!
First stop was the lovely Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. It's not too big & easy to explore the whole thing in a couple hours or so.
When you arrive, it has a greenhouse to the left in the very front of the museum.
It's home to these beauties:
And has great light, of course!
A fabulous courtyard on the inside:
I then hit the Museum of Fine Arts (MFA) - you could spend weeks in this museum & still probably have more to explore - it goes on forever!
Even the outside is impressive!
A rhino I encountered along the way:
So many things to see inside - this sculpture is made from Styrofoam cups!
Loved this bicycle sculpture:
I only scratched the surface & if I am ever back in Boston, I will visit again. Next up, Cape Cod!
Cheers,
S
